Waiting for Tampa Bay Home Prices To Drop? The Math May Surprise You
A lot of buyers in Tampa Bay are in a holding pattern right now.
They're watching the market, tracking mortgage rates, refreshing listings, and waiting for prices to come down before making a move.
I get it. Nobody wants to feel like they're buying at the wrong time.
But Oxford Economics recently put a number on how long it may take for housing affordability to meaningfully recover: at least seven years. That puts the timeline closer to 2033, not next spring or even next year.
That matters if you're looking in Tampa, Riverview, Brandon, Apollo Beach, or FishHawk and wondering whether waiting is actually helping you, or quietly costing you.
